Overview

XTR015 is a copper-64 (64Cu) labeled radiopharmaceutical developed by Sinotau Pharmaceutical Group for the positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of cancers expressing somatostatin receptors (SSTR). It is the first 64Cu-labeled SSTR-targeted PET radioligand to receive Investigational New Drug (IND) approval in China. Compared to traditional gallium-68 (68Ga) labeled alternatives, XTR015 offers several clinical advantages, including a significantly longer half-life (12.7 hours versus 67.7 minutes) and lower positron energy, which results in improved spatial resolution and an extended imaging window of one to three hours post-injection. The drug is primarily utilized for the diagnosis, staging, and management of neuroendocrine tumors and other SSTR-positive malignancies.
