Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xuanbi Antong prescription granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Guang’anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS). It is indicated for the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD), specifically for patients presenting with the "phlegm-stasis-heat interjunction" syndrome. The formulation is designed to address coronary stenosis (50-70%), alleviate angina symptoms, and improve electrocardiogram (ECG) outcomes. As a complex herbal mixture, its therapeutic approach involves multi-target effects such as resolving phlegm, removing blood stasis, and clearing heat to stabilize atherosclerotic plaques and improve myocardial perfusion. It is currently undergoing Phase 3 clinical evaluation in China.
