Overview

Xuanfei Jiangzhuo Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) composite formula being investigated for the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) triggered by influenza. Derived from the classical formulas *Maxing Shigan Tang* and *Shengjiang San*, it is designed to alleviate respiratory symptoms such as cough and dyspnea while potentially reducing the risk of secondary bacterial infections. The decoction is typically administered orally as a liquid. It is currently being studied in a prospective, real-world cohort study led by Tianjin Medical University to evaluate its efficacy in promoting clinical remission and its impact on gut health and systemic inflammation in older adults.
