Overview
Xuanfei Zhisou Heji is a standardized traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparation developed by Gansu Pu'an Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is a complex herbal formulation containing eight active botanical ingredients: *Aster tataricus*, *Stemona sessilifolia*, *Platycodon grandiflorus*, *Citrus reticulata*, *Houttuynia cordata*, *Papaver somniferum* husk, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*, and *Ephedra sinica*. The preparation is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions, including post-infectious cough, cough variant asthma, and bronchitis, by dispelling wind, promoting lung circulation, and resolving phlegm. It has also been investigated for managing cough symptoms associated with COVID-19.
