Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xuechan Ruanjian Rougan Tablet is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shanghai Tianchan Biotechnology for the treatment of liver fibrosis associated with chronic hepatitis B. The drug is designed based on the TCM therapeutic principles of 'softening hardness and nourishing the liver' (Ruanjian Rougan), which aims to reverse or halt the progression of hepatic fibrosis by modulating the liver microenvironment. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China (e.g., CTR20231809), where its efficacy is primarily measured by the proportion of patients achieving a reduction in the Ishak fibrosis score by at least one stage.
