Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xuefu Zhuyu Dripping Pills is a modern Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Tianjin Hongrentang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is derived from the classic Xuefu Zhuyu Tang formula, which was first recorded in the Qing Dynasty. The formulation consists of eleven herbal ingredients, including *Prunus persica* (peach kernel), *Carthamus tinctorius* (safflower), *Angelica sinensis*, and *Ligusticum chuanxiong*. Its primary pharmacological actions involve promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and regulating Qi to alleviate pain. In modern clinical practice, it is specifically indicated for the treatment of migraine without aura, as well as other conditions associated with blood stasis in the chest, such as coronary heart disease and post-traumatic headache. The dripping pill dosage form is designed for rapid absorption and improved bioavailability compared to traditional decoctions.
