Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xuefuzhuyu without Taohongsiwu granules is an investigational traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Chinese PLA General Hospital. It is derived from the classic Xuefu Zhuyu decoction (XFZYD) by removing the Taohong Siwu decoction (THSWD) component, which consists of blood-activating herbs (such as Semen Persicae, Flos Carthami, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, and Radix Rehmanniae). The remaining herbs in this formulation (including Radix Bupleuri, Fructus Aurantii, Radix Platycodonis, Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, and Radix Glycyrrhizae) primarily focus on regulating Qi and directing its movement. It is being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) with Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome to dissect the specific therapeutic contributions of the Qi-regulating and blood-activating components of the classic formula.
