Xueshuan Xinmaining Tablet (XXT) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herb formula (Chinese patent medicine) used for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including cerebral thrombosis, coronary heart disease, stroke, and angina pectoris. It is composed of ten traditional Chinese medicines: Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Hirudo, Bovis Calculus, Moschus, Pubescent Holly Root, Sophorae Flos, Total ginsenoside of ginseng stems and leaves, Borneolum syntheticum, and Bufonis venenum. The drug acts by activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Its mechanism involves the inhibition of platelet aggregation and reduction of blood viscosity, with identified molecular targets including coagulation factor XIII A chain (F13a1), carbonic anhydrase 1 (Car1), and thromboxane A2 receptor (Tbxa2r). It is developed and manufactured by Jilin Huakang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and has been investigated for its effects on mild cognitive impairment in patients with stable coronary heart disease.
