Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Xuhanting granules** are an orally administered traditional Chinese medicine granule formula used in China for symptoms attributed to qi-yin deficiency, particularly spontaneous sweating and night sweats. The fixed multi-ingredient preparation contains astragalus root, floating wheat, jujube, glutinous rice root, and calcined oyster. Its labeled traditional-use rationale is to replenish qi, nourish yin, consolidate the exterior, and reduce sweating; a defined molecular pharmacologic target or validated target-level mechanism has not been established. The product has been evaluated as an adjunct to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressants in acute-phase depressive disorder and in a clinical study for recurrent respiratory tract infections in children.
