Overview

XVR014 is a bispecific heavy chain-only antibody (also described as a bivalent construct) that targets two epitopes in the receptor-binding domain of the S1 subunit of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. It is designed to neutralize SARS-CoV-2 and related coronaviruses by binding to highly conserved regions, thereby reducing the risk of viral escape. XVR014 is complementary to another antibody, XVR013m, which targets a membrane-proximal epitope in the S2 subunit. Together with XVR013m, it forms part of a cocktail therapy (XVR012) intended for broad protection against current and emerging COVID-19 variants[4][5][9]. The drug is being developed primarily for COVID-19 treatment and prevention.
