XWDAPC-1 is a novel, long-acting antibody-peptide conjugate (APC) designed as a quadragonist for the treatment of obesity and metabolic liver diseases, such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Developed by Sciwind Biosciences, the molecule consists of a β-klotho (KLB) antibody conjugated to a GLP-1/GCG/GIP triple agonist peptide. This multi-targeting approach combines the metabolic benefits of incretin receptor agonism (GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon) with the insulin-sensitizing and lipid-lowering effects associated with β-klotho/FGF21 signaling. Preclinical data in diet-induced obese mice and cynomolgus monkeys demonstrate that XWDAPC-1 provides robust body weight reduction and metabolic improvements, with a pharmacokinetic profile supporting a monthly dosing schedule.
