Overview

XY0507 is a recombinant human prourokinase (rhpro-UK) developed by Nanjing Xiangyuan Biopharmaceutical Technology. It is a second-generation thrombolytic agent designed for the treatment of acute thrombotic cerebral infarction (acute ischemic stroke). As a single-chain urokinase-type plasminogen activator (scu-PA), XY0507 acts as a zymogen that selectively activates plasminogen into plasmin in the presence of a fibrin clot. This mechanism provides high fibrin specificity, allowing for localized thrombolysis at the site of the blood vessel occlusion while minimizing systemic plasminogen activation and reducing the risk of hemorrhagic complications. XY0507 is currently in Phase 3 clinical development for stroke and is also being investigated for potential therapeutic use in movement disorders.
