Overview

XYF13 CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy. Like other autologous CAR-T therapies, it involves collecting a patient's own T cells, genetically engineering them in the laboratory to express a synthetic receptor (the "chimeric antigen receptor" or CAR) that targets a specific antigen on cancer cells, expanding these modified cells ex vivo, and then infusing them back into the patient. The engineered T cells are designed to recognize and destroy malignant cells expressing the target antigen. The precise target of XYF13 CAR-T is not specified in available sources; however, most current investigational and approved CAR-T therapies for hematologic malignancies target B-cell antigens such as CD19 or BCMA[1][2][7]. The therapy is likely being developed for relapsed or refractory blood cancers such as lymphoma, leukemia, or multiple myeloma.
