Overview
Xykaa Extend is an extended-release oral tablet formulation of paracetamol (acetaminophen) developed by Troikaa Parenterals. It utilizes Troikaa's proprietary Duo Phase Technology, which splits the paracetamol dose into an immediate-release component for rapid onset of action and a sustained-release component to maintain therapeutic drug levels over an extended period. Xykaa Extend is approved and marketed in India for the management of mild-to-moderate pain (such as headache, toothache, backache, and joint pain) and the reduction of fever (pyrexia). It acts primarily in the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and modulate the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.
