Overview

XYL-1001 is a non-hallucinogenic small molecule neuroplastogen developed by Xylo Bio (formerly Psylo). It is designed to rewire neural circuits and restore brain function without inducing hallucinatory effects. The drug acts as a serotonin 5-HT2A receptor agonist and is being developed primarily for the treatment of depressive disorders and other neurological or psychiatric conditions. As a new chemical entity (NCE), XYL-1001 represents an innovative approach in neurotherapeutics aimed at addressing underlying dysfunctions rather than merely managing symptoms. The compound is currently in preclinical development with first-in-human clinical trials planned for mid-2026[1][2][3][4][7][9].
