XYL-2499 is a novel small molecule 5-HT2A receptor agonist being developed by Xylo Bio for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). Unlike traditional psychedelic compounds that target the same receptor, XYL-2499 is designed to be non-hallucinogenic while retaining the ability to promote synaptogenesis and neuroplasticity.
