Overview

XYZ-VII-69 is a novel small molecule sigma-2 receptor ligand developed at Florida A&M University. It is being investigated for its potential in treating solid tumors, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). In preclinical studies, XYZ-VII-69 has demonstrated the ability to decrease cell viability, inhibit cell proliferation, induce apoptosis, and arrest cells at the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle. Additionally, it has shown efficacy in preventing spheroid formation and disintegrating preformed spheroids in 3D culture assays, suggesting potential to halt tumor growth and prevent relapse.
