XZP-6019

XZP-6019 is a novel, potential first-in-class small molecule inhibitor of ketohexokinase (KHK), under development by Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent KHK inhibitory activity, resulting in significant improvements in NASH-related parameters in animal models. The drug has shown favorable pharmacokinetic and safety profiles, supporting its potential as a once-daily, well-tolerated oral therapy. As of early 2025, XZP-6019 is undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy subjects[2][5][6].
