Y111 CAR T cell is a novel chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy being investigated for the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive type of central nervous system cancer. This immunotherapy is designed to target the transmembrane protein B7-H3, which is highly expressed in GBM and correlates with enhanced tumor progression and poor prognosis. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that Y111 CAR T cells significantly extend the survival of mice with human glioblastoma, with intratumoral administration showing near-complete efficacy. Intravenous and intracerebroventricular administrations also reduced tumor growth and prolonged survival, suggesting its potential for clinical translation.
