It is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute tonsillitis, specifically the "wind-heat invading throat" pattern in pediatric patients. The syrup is designed to clear heat, detoxify the body, and alleviate symptoms such as throat pain and swelling. As of 2025, it is undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China to assess its efficacy and safety in children aged 3 to 12 years compared to a placebo mimic.
