Yang Xian Feng Dian Pill (also known as Yangxian Fengdian Wan) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Jinsheng Da Ren Tang (specifically its Lerentang Pharmaceutical Factory). It is approved in China for the treatment of epilepsy, particularly for cases characterized by phlegm-heat internal blockage, sudden fainting, salivation, and limb twitching. The formulation is a complex herbal mixture containing 21 traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients, including processed Pinellia ternata (清半夏), ginger-processed Magnolia officinalis (厚朴), Bambusa textilis (天竺黄), Notopterygium incisum (羌活), Curcuma aromatica (郁金), Citrus reticulata (橘红), processed Arisaema erubescens (天南星), Gastrodia elata (天麻), vinegar-processed Cyperus rotundus (香附), vinegar-processed Corydalis yanhusuo (延胡索), Asarum sieboldii (细辛), bran-fried Citrus aurantium (枳壳), Aquilaria sinensis (沉香), vinegar-processed Curcuma zedoaria (莪术), Lindera aggregata (乌药), Saposhnikovia divaricata (防风), and Saiga tatarica horn (羚羊角). It functions by soothing the liver, regulating qi, resolving phlegm, and relieving convulsions.
