Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yang-Yin Ding-Ji is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, specifically for the treatment of premature ventricular beats (PVBs). The formula is designed according to TCM principles to nourish Yin and stabilize the heart rhythm (calm palpitations). It is primarily used in patients exhibiting Yin deficiency and internal heat patterns. Clinical research suggests that the formula can significantly reduce the frequency of premature ventricular contractions and improve clinical symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, and insomnia. Pharmacologically, it is thought to exert anti-arrhythmic effects by modulating cardiac electrophysiology and the autonomic nervous system, although the specific molecular targets of the multi-component mixture are not fully characterized in a single-target paradigm.
