Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yang02 probiotic is an oral microbial therapy being evaluated for the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris. Developed and studied by the Dermatology Hospital of Southern Medical University, it is part of a clinical program investigating the gut-skin axis. The probiotic is intended to modulate the gut microbiota, reduce systemic inflammation, and decrease sebum secretion, thereby reducing the count of inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions. It is currently being studied in a Phase 4 exploratory trial both as a monotherapy and in combination with Yang03 probiotic.
