Overview
Yangfei Yishen Granules (YFYSR) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical formula specifically developed for the treatment of stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The formulation is based on the TCM principle of "nourishing the lungs and benefiting the kidneys" to address deficiency patterns common in chronic respiratory conditions. It is composed of several medicinal herbs, including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Panax ginseng*, *Cornus officinalis*, and *Epimedium brevicornu*. Research indicates that YFYSR exerts anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, potentially by regulating the Th17/Treg cell balance and reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha, IL-6, and IL-8.
