Overview
Yangjing Zhongyu Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula originally recorded in the Qing Dynasty text *Fu Qing Zhu Nu Ke* (Fu Qing-zhu's Gynecology). It is primarily used to treat female infertility associated with Kidney-yin deficiency and Blood deficiency. The classic formulation consists of four herbs: *Rehmannia glutinosa* (Shu Di Huang), *Angelica sinensis* (Dang Gui), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Bai Shao), and *Cornus officinalis* (Shan Zhu Yu). In modern clinical practice, it is frequently investigated for its potential to improve endometrial receptivity, enhance ovarian function, and support reproductive outcomes in conditions such as endometriosis-associated infertility, diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), particularly in patients undergoing assisted reproductive technologies like IVF/ICSI.
