Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangshenguo Guanxin Tablet is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Institute of Regenerative Medicine at Jilin University. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary artery disease and stable exertional angina pectoris, specifically targeting patients with the TCM pattern of qi and yin deficiency. The preparation is derived from the fruit of *Panax ginseng* (known as Yangshenguo in this context), which is traditionally used to tonify qi and nourish yin. The drug has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials in China, where it was compared against Yixinshu Tablet to assess its efficacy in reducing angina symptoms and improving myocardial blood flow over an 8-week treatment period.
