Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangxin Dawaimixike Migao is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is an electuary (honey-based paste) formulated by integrating the traditional Uighur medicine 'Dawayimixik' with TCM principles. The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris, specifically for patients diagnosed with Qi and Yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. Its therapeutic effects include nourishing the heart, tranquilizing the mind, and promoting blood circulation to relieve pain. Clinical studies, including multicenter randomized controlled trials, have evaluated its efficacy in reducing the frequency of angina attacks and improving electrocardiogram (ECG) results. The formulation typically includes ingredients such as silk cocoon (Bombyx mori), borage, and other botanical components known in ethnic medicine for their cardioprotective and sedative properties.
