Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangxinshi is a proprietary traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula in tablet form, primarily used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as chronic heart failure (CHF), coronary heart disease (CHD), angina pectoris, and myocardial infarction. The formulation contains multiple herbal ingredients including Panax ginseng (ginseng), Astragalus membranaceus (astragalus root), Salvia miltiorrhiza (red sage root/danshen), Epimedium brevicornum, Ganoderma lucidum (lingzhi mushroom/reishi), among others. Its mechanism of action is multi-targeted and includes improving cardiac function, enhancing exercise tolerance, relieving symptoms of angina pectoris, protecting against myocardial ischemia, and potentially reversing cardiac fibrosis by modulating pathways such as Cbl-b/Smad2 signaling. Clinical studies indicate that Yangxinshi improves clinical symptoms and cardiac function in CHF patients with a favorable safety profile[1][2][4][5][7][8]. It is approved for use in China.
