Yangxue Danggui Syrup (also known as Yangxue Danggui Tangjiang) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation manufactured and marketed by Universe Pharmaceuticals (through its operating subsidiary Jiangxi Universe Pharmaceuticals) and other Chinese pharmaceutical companies. It is formulated as an oral syrup containing a combination of eight traditional Chinese medicinal herbs: Angelica sinensis (Danggui), Paeonia lactiflora (Baishao), Rehmannia glutinosa (Shudihuang), Poria cocos (Fuling), Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gancao), Codonopsis pilosula (Dangshen), Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi), and Ligusticum striatum (Chuanxiong). The formulation is traditionally used to replenish qi and blood, regulate menstruation, and treat symptoms such as menstrual irregularities, dysmenorrhea (abdominal pain during menstruation), anemia-related weakness, postpartum physical weakness, and chlorosis.
