Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangxue Qingnao granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Tasly Pharmaceutical Group. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of headaches, including migraine and tension-type headache, as well as dizziness and chronic cerebral circulation insufficiency (CCCI). The formulation is composed of eleven herbal ingredients: *Angelica sinensis*, *Ligusticum chuanxiong*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Uncaria rhynchophylla*, *Cassia seed*, *Spatholobus suberectus*, *Prunella vulgaris*, *Concha Margaritifera Usta*, *Corydalis yanhusuo*, and *Schisandra chinensis*. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to improve cerebral blood flow, inhibit platelet aggregation, and modulate neurotransmitter systems, particularly the serotonergic pathway. In clinical practice, it is frequently used as both a monotherapy and an adjunctive treatment for headache disorders and associated comorbidities, such as those found in patients with epilepsy or hypertension.
