Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangyin Fuzheng Jiedu Prescription is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal decoction formulation used primarily for the treatment of **hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)**. It is composed of several herbal ingredients: Hedysarum multijugum (Huangqi), Atractylodes macrocephala (Baizhu), Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu), Hedyotis diffusa (Baihuashecao), Sophora flavescens (Kushen), Cynanchum paniculatum (Xuchangqing), Glehnia littoralis (Beishashen), and Ophiopogon japonicus (Maimendong)[2]. The mechanism of action is **multifactorial and immunoregulatory**, with significant effects on alleviating T cell exhaustion, regulating immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, and reducing both pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (notably IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-1β, IL-13). Key molecular targets implicated in network pharmacological and in vivo studies are **PIK3CA, TP53, MAPK1, MAPK3, and EGFR**[2][4]. YFJP primarily impacts the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and PD-L1/PD-1 checkpoint pathways in cancer, leading to tumor suppression and enhanced immune function, evidenced by increased CD3+ and CD8+ T cell infiltration and activity[2][4]. Developed and primarily studied within institutions in China, YFJP is supported by clinical and preclinical research for its antitumor and immune-restorative effects in HCC[2][3][4].
