Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangyin Qingfei Wan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation originating from the Qing Dynasty text 'Chonglou Yuyao.' It is a multi-herbal compound typically consisting of eight to ten botanical ingredients, including Rehmanniae Radix, Scrophulariae Radix, Ophiopogonis Radix, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Moutan Cortex, Fritillariae Bulbus, Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. Clinically, it is used to treat respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, post-infection cough, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Its therapeutic actions include nourishing yin, moistening dryness, clearing the lung, and soothing the throat. Research suggests it may function by suppressing inflammatory reactions and regulating immune function, potentially through the PI3K/Akt/NF-κB signaling pathway.
