Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangyin Shugan Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Research Institute for the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Based on TCM principles, the drug is designed to address the pattern of kidney deficiency and liver depression (肾虚肝郁). It is currently being investigated in Phase II clinical trials to evaluate its efficacy and safety in restoring ovarian function and managing symptoms in women with POI. As a botanical product, it likely exerts its effects through a multi-component, multi-target mechanism involving the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis and the reduction of oxidative stress in ovarian tissues.
