Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangyinshugan capsule (also known as Yangyin Shugan capsule or YYSG) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. Derived from the classic Qing Dynasty TCM formula 'Yiguan Jian', it contains active herbal ingredients including *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, *Bupleurum chinense*, *Curcuma aromatica*, *Cyperus rotundus*, *Dioscorea opposita*, and *Paeonia rubra*. Yangyinshugan capsule is primarily developed for the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), early ovarian function decline during the menopausal transition, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) complicated with infertility. Mechanistically, it activates the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway via a dual-receptor (ERα/ERβ)-mediated cascade regulation, which collectively inhibits autophagy and apoptosis in ovarian cells and promotes follicular development.
