Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yangzhengxiaoji Capsule (YZXJ) is a complex traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical, primarily used as an adjuvant therapy for various malignancies, including hepatocellular carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The formulation consists of multiple herbal components that collectively exert anti-tumor effects by antagonizing the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and its receptor, c-MET, which are critical drivers of cancer cell migration, invasion, and angiogenesis. Furthermore, YZXJ has been shown to inhibit the focal adhesion kinase (FAK) signaling pathway, contributing to its anti-metastatic properties. In clinical practice, it is frequently administered alongside standard platinum-based chemotherapy to enhance therapeutic efficacy, improve patient quality of life, and manage chemotherapy-induced side effects. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials for advanced NSCLC in China.
