Yankening is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oral formulation developed and manufactured by Guangdong Xinbao Pharmaceutical. It is primarily used for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. The medication is typically composed of five herbal ingredients: *Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex* (Huangbai), *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (Dahuang), *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian), *Scutellariae Radix* (Huangqin), and *Isatidis Radix* (Banlangen). These components contain active alkaloids and flavonoids, such as berberine and baicalin, which contribute to its therapeutic effects against acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and gastritis. It is an approved pharmaceutical product in China, most commonly found in tablet form (Yankening Pian).
