Overview
Yanning Syrup is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral formulation primarily composed of extracts from *Lamiophlomis rotata* (Kudo), *Scutellaria barbata* (D. Don), and *Spirodela polyrhiza* (紫萍). It is traditionally utilized for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. In modern clinical research, it is being investigated as an adjuvant therapy to oseltamivir for managing gastrointestinal symptoms in pediatric patients with influenza. The syrup is hypothesized to work by modulating immune function, restoring gut microbiota balance, and reducing systemic inflammation, thereby accelerating the resolution of symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain associated with viral infections.
