Yanyanfang Mixture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of acute and chronic pharyngitis. The mixture is composed of several herbal extracts, including *Lonicera japonica* (honeysuckle), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (baical skullcap), and *Platycodon grandiflorus* (balloon flower), which are traditionally used to clear heat, detoxify, and soothe the throat. Pharmacologically, the mixture exhibits anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antimicrobial properties, helping to reduce pharyngeal congestion, edema, and pain. As a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂), it is widely used within the Sun Yat-sen University hospital system in China.
