It is primarily indicated for the treatment of lumbar-related conditions, including lumbar disc herniation, lumbar osteoarthritis, sciatica, and rheumatoid arthritis. The formulation typically contains processed *Strychnos nux-vomica* (Ma Qian Zi) as a key active ingredient, along with other herbs like *Ephedra*, *Achyranthes bidentata*, and *Boswellia*. It is designed to dispel wind, remove dampness, activate blood circulation, and relieve pain. Clinical evaluations, including post-marketing studies registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR), have focused on its efficacy and safety in treating lumbar disc herniation and osteoarthritis compared to other TCM formulations like Bitongning or Yaobitong.
