Overview
Yaotongning capsules (also known as Yaotongning Jiaonang or Lumbago free capsules) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Jingfukang Pharmaceutical Group. It is composed of multiple herbal and animal-derived ingredients, including *Strychnos nux-vomica* (Semen Strychni), whole scorpion, frankincense, myrrh, and Sichuan achyranthes root, among others. It is primarily used to treat lower back pain, joint pain, sciatica, lumbar disc herniation, and lumbar osteoarthritis, particularly in patients presenting with TCM syndromes of cold-dampness blockage and blood stasis. The formulation works by promoting blood circulation, dispersing cold, removing dampness, and relieving pain.
