Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YB-01 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine targeting Mucin 1 (MUC1), currently under development by Peking Union Medical College Hospital for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. MUC1 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is frequently overexpressed and aberrantly glycosylated in various epithelial cancers, including breast, lung, and gastrointestinal tumors. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system to recognize and mount a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response against MUC1-expressing malignant cells. YB-01 is being evaluated in clinical trials, including dose-escalation studies, to determine its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced malignancies that have failed standard therapies.
