YB-1113 is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy composed of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs). Developed by the South Korean biotechnology company Bright Cell, Inc., YB-1113 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). The therapy is administered via intravenous infusion and is designed to restore ovarian function by leveraging the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of mesenchymal stem cells. These cells are hypothesized to migrate to damaged ovarian tissue and release paracrine factors, such as cytokines and growth factors, that promote tissue repair, inhibit granulosa cell apoptosis, and modulate the local immune environment to support follicular development and hormonal balance.
