Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YB1-v3.0 is a proprietary, engineered *Salmonella typhimurium* strain designed as a tumor-targeting drug delivery platform. Developed by Shaoxing Salvectors Biotechnology, the strain is modified to selectively colonize and replicate within the hypoxic and necrotic environments characteristic of solid tumors while remaining attenuated in healthy tissues. This microbial therapy platform serves as a carrier for various therapeutic payloads, such as prodrug-converting enzymes or immunomodulators, to enhance local efficacy and minimize systemic toxicity. The lead candidate derived from this platform, YB1-X7, is an oncolytic bacterial therapy that has received Investigational New Drug (IND) clearance from both the U.S. FDA and China's NMPA for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors.
