Overview

YD06-1 is a genetically engineered oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 (oHSV-1) developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The virus is designed to selectively replicate within and lyse malignant cells while sparing healthy tissue. Beyond direct viral-mediated cell death, YD06-1 aims to stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response by releasing tumor-associated antigens and promoting an inflammatory microenvironment. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials, both as a monotherapy and in combination with other oncolytic agents such as SDJ001.
