Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YD6390 is an investigational oral small molecule inhibitor that selectively targets Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 2 (ROCK2), developed by Shanghai Yidian Pharmaceutical Technology Development Co., Ltd. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other forms of interstitial lung disease (ILD). ROCK2 is a key regulator of the fibrotic process, influencing myofibroblast activation, collagen deposition, and the production of pro-fibrotic cytokines. By selectively inhibiting the ROCK2 isoform, YD6390 aims to provide potent anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory therapeutic effects while avoiding the systemic side effects, such as hypotension, typically associated with non-selective ROCK1/2 inhibition. The drug is currently undergoing early-phase clinical evaluation in China.
