Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yeshan ginseng stem cell oral liquid is a botanical therapeutic candidate derived from the cambial meristematic cells (CMCs) of wild *Panax ginseng*. Developed and studied by the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, this formulation utilizes plant stem cell technology to produce a consistent and concentrated profile of rare ginsenosides and other bioactive metabolites found in wild ginseng. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in patients with lung cancer. The mechanism of action involves the modulation of the immune system, reduction of systemic inflammation (potentially through the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines), and enhancement of mitochondrial function to improve energy levels. By using cultivated CMCs rather than traditional root extracts, the product aims to provide the medicinal benefits of rare wild ginseng in a sustainable and standardized oral liquid form.
