Overview

YF-3 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting **P-selectin** (also known as **CD62P** or **SELP**), developed by **Suzhou Yongxin Biopharmaceutical**. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of **ischemia-reperfusion injury** (IRI). P-selectin is a cell adhesion molecule expressed on the surface of activated vascular endothelial cells and platelets, where it plays a critical role in the initial recruitment and rolling of leukocytes on the vascular wall. During the reperfusion phase following an ischemic event (such as a myocardial infarction or stroke), the rapid upregulation of P-selectin leads to excessive leukocyte infiltration, which triggers an inflammatory cascade and exacerbates tissue damage. YF-3 acts as a P-selectin antagonist, blocking these interactions to mitigate inflammation and protect affected organs from reperfusion-induced injury. As of early 2026, YF-3 is undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in China (Trial ID: CTR20260028) to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy adult volunteers.
