Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YFC-RUSS is a small molecule drug candidate developed by Suzhou Yifan Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Yifan Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of postpartum lactation insufficiency (hypogalactia). Classified as a Class 1 innovative drug in China, it functions as a galactagogue by acting as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. By blocking the inhibitory effect of dopamine on the pituitary gland, the drug promotes the secretion of prolactin, which in turn stimulates the production of breast milk. YFC-RUSS is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy female subjects.
