YH-02

YH-02 is an oncolytic virus therapy developed by Tianjin First Central Hospital for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It is a genetically modified virus designed to express Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13) under the control of a human S promoter. The viral capsid has been genetically modified to enhance permeability, tumor targeting, and infection efficiency. By expressing MMP13, YH-02 aims to degrade the extracellular matrix within the tumor microenvironment, facilitating viral spread and potentially improving the penetration of other therapeutic agents. It is administered via intratumoral injection and has shown preclinical efficacy in models of breast cancer, liver cancer, and melanoma. Clinical studies are evaluating its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients who have failed standard therapies.
