**YH0618** is an orally administered medicinal-and-edible traditional Chinese formula being investigated as supportive care for chemotherapy-induced toxicities, particularly alopecia and dermatologic adverse effects. Published descriptions of the soup preparation identify black soybean, brown rice, black fungus, and Siraitia grosvenorii fruit as its component foods; a granule-study protocol describes a related five-food formulation that includes liquorice. Preclinical studies suggest that YH0618 reduces doxorubicin-associated injury in normal liver and kidney cells through modulation of FOXO4-associated mitochondrial apoptosis signaling and may attenuate doxorubicin-induced alopecia through keratin-associated and TGF-beta/Smad3-pathway effects.
